Macedon Ranges Health delivers the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP) in the Macedon Ranges Shire. This program is funded by the Victorian Government and is designed to support eligible individuals from the ages of 0 to 65 years old, to stay independent at home and in the community by providing them access to a range of affordable health care and support services.
Services may include time limited access to meals assistance, home maintenance, domestic assistance, social support, and allied health services (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy).

If eligible for HACC-PYP the Victorian Government will cover the cost of a range of services, ensuring you can access the support you need. You may be required to make a small contribution to the cost of your services. This fee will vary depending on your income and current circumstances. At assessment we will chat with you to determine your income and factors that may affect your ability to pay fees. Fees may be waived in circumstances of financial hardship.
Referrals can be made by yourself, a family member (with your consent), your GP, or any other health professional.
For people eligible for a government-funded package over the age of 65.

Supporting one another through good and bad times, with food relief, emotional support, essential printing/photocopying, or just a cup of tea with one of their friendly staff or volunteers. there are rooms for hire for local community groups and businesses, and regular programs packed full of activities and courses. Everyone is welcome to stop by Monday to Friday between 9 am - 3 pm.
The Woodend Community Food Bank is open Mondays and Thursdays between 12.30 pm - 2.30 pm in the Undercroft (access via the gate off Margery Crescent). Everyone is welcome to stop by to access pantry staples, personal hygiene, and cleaning supplies.
The M&MMCH serves as an all-abilities access community connection hub. A safe and inclusive place, where people of all ages meet, get to know each other, and share skills, knowledge, and mutual support.

Provides or facilitates assistance to local veterans and their dependents. Their mission is to provide care, commemoration and camaraderie to enable veterans and their families to live with dignity and respect. They encourage both veterans and the public to use their facilities to build social cohesion and ensure we are all looking out for each other. The facilities are open to the public on Thursday and Friday nights.
They have a welfare officer who can follow up veteran and veteran family support to ensure the Department of Veteran Affairs entitlements are provided and arrange other support if needed.
